Texas A&M Maritime Academy (TAMMA) cadets will join fellow cadets in College Station for the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets March-In on October 12 as Texas A&M faces off against Alabama. Cadet parents, former students, faculty and friends will be supporting the event with the Texas A&M Maritime Academy Tailgate Team. The group will be setting up on the south lawn of the Sanders Corps Center and will be ready to cheer on the Aggies, hiss at Bama and support their cadets with a buffet-style meal and beverages.
“A primary goal of the TAMMA Tailgate Team is to provide a meal for every cadet and a place to gather with family and friends prior to march in events,” Florian said. “Any donations collected through fundraisers are to go toward the two march-in tailgates held each fall in College Station. Surplus donations will be donated to the Corps of Cadets, the Texas A&M Foundation or TAMMA to be used for the benefit of cadets.”
Florian said additional goals include providing a group of volunteers willing to assist with TAMMA-related events or needs, and to provide a virtual space where cadets, their families, former students and friends can come together to connect, network, support each other and celebrate “all things Aggie,” but specifically all things related to TAMMA and Texas A&M University-Galveston.
